Project Overview
The project involved designing a legacy website for the late artist George Dunbar. The website serves as a platform for both showcasing his art and facilitating the purchase of his pieces, ensuring that his artistic legacy endures. It also provides stakeholders with key information about the artist’s work, history, and updates on the preservation and availability of his art.
Project Timeline: 2 months
Stakeholder: Nina Dunbar (Daughter of George Dunbar)
My Role
Position: Project Manager and Lead Designer
Responsibilities: I was responsible for managing the entire project from start to finish. This included strategic planning, client communication, business negotiations, conceptual design, and the overall website development process. I worked directly with the stakeholders to ensure that the website met their vision and business needs.
Teamwork: I collaborated with the daughter of George Dunbar, Nina Dunbar, who acted as the primary point of contact and key stakeholder throughout the project.
The Concept
Initially, I would have had the opportunity to work with George Dunbar and his team through an internship, where I would have designed graphics for marketing materials and managed social media accounts. Unfortunately, after George fell ill and passed away, I maintained communication with Nina Dunbar. She approached me and collaborated with me to create legacy website to honor her father’s artistic contributions.
End Goal
The goal of this website was to create a lasting tribute to George Dunbar’s art, providing a central hub for his work, personal history, and enabling stakeholders and art enthusiasts to purchase and support the continued upkeep of his pieces.

Project Outcomes
The project was well-received, with stakeholders expressing positive feedback on the overall direction, tone, and usability of the site. Constructive feedback included considerations for information, updates, points of contact, and more.
As a next step, the team is exploring the potential for web development implementation, looking into translating the prototype into a live and maintainable site.
